Have you ever seen Trolls the movie? Maybe you have seen it because you knew it was G rated and family friendly. Maybe you watched it because your sweet soul eats up the singing and happy endings like chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven. Regardless, it’s hard to resist the musical genius of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. It has an all around positive message and I confess that Princess Poppy is sort of like a hero.
Princess Poppy is clearly code for Positive Polly. It’s insane to think someone can be so positive despite the circumstances. Part of me thinks she has to be on medication or at the very least they have tapped her vein and she’s being pumped full of Red Bull.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all handle adversity with the voracity of Princess Poppy. I can almost hear her singing, “when I fall down I get back up again.” So how can one harness these mysterious powers of positivity? Bad news for you guys, I’m not exactly sure.
The next time your boss is driving you nuts, you feel your significant other is going to make you scream or the kids are out of control try to harness the happiness. Try to ask yourself if what’s happening right now terrible or is it just your perception of the situation? My suggestion is if things get really really bad, take a deep breath , turn on the soundtrack and belt out “I can’t stop the feeling so just dance dance.”
